There in front of death/I put the moon (Santoka Taneda) • 2018

Using silver thread, I sewed 9 moon phase images on Arches black cover stock (22" x 30"). The images range from waxing crescent to waning crescent.

January 20, 2019, during the Super Blood Moon total lunar eclipse, Susan Linnell and I presented 9 Moons^2. . Susan's 9 moon image monoprints were accompanied by a Zen koan, accompanied by my 9 sewn moon images.
